Fair Trade plot

Walter Wilson and Robin De Rover once started their careers in the police force with great commitment and noble ideals, but too often saw months of intensive and dangerous investigative work lost due to what they considered irrelevant procedural errors, the tricks of expensive lawyers and dubious decisions by unworldly judges. . They increasingly color outside the lines during their patrols: for example, they tip criminals about future police actions and are heavily paid for it. Wilson is also prone to addiction (women, drink, drugs…) and that makes him unpredictable. When he is suspended from the police after repeated conflicts, he seeks even more rapprochement with the criminal environment, but is meanwhile tipsy wild.

Best Flemish series, after Matroesjka's. Season 1 was sublime and regularly reminded me of Matryoshkas with nostalgia. Immediately notices that this series comes from the hand of Mark Punt. This 2nd season also contains everything I want in such a series, only way too short with 6 episodes. And Peter van den Begin as Paternoster just remains the max and just the total Antwaaarps given, love it. Ella-June Henrard as Robin is also splashing on the screen again, both in terms of talent, but also in terms of appearance Too bad vd Wally. Well, this 2nd season more than meets expectations, violence, sex, drugs, gambling, greasy gallows humor, my cup of tea. 10/10.

The first season was a lot of fun. Mark Punt repeated his fantastic Matroesjka's series with largely the same cast, the same Antwerp setting, similar gratuitous sex scenes and an analogous criminal scenario. Peter Van den Begin and Kevin Janssens gave their own face to the event. This second season is a lot thinner. The script actually doesn't pull up anywhere and that brings the level down considerably.

Wilson's death leaves a cold void that needs to be filled with more screentime for Ella-June Henrard who has developed an entirely different character in this season and is more annoying than anything else. She was always Wilson's quiet sidekick and now emerges as a tough and brutal aunt, completely unbelievable. Paternoster can't take the lousy screenplay to the next level. The Russian girls act really bad for the most part and give a B cachet to the series.

No, it doesn't have to continue like this for me with the series.
