9-1-1 examines the experiences of the police, ambulance personnel and firefighters who have to work under high pressure. Under the most extreme circumstances, they find themselves in frightening, shocking and heartbreaking situations. In addition, of course, they also have their own private life. A good series. The first season really revolves around the serious situations that happen on a daily basis. But still you slowly get to know the characters and their surroundings. The second season is better built up in my opinion! That season has 18 episodes.

The makers have put together a good cast.

Fox answers NBC's successful Chicago triptych: Fire/PD/Med. 9-1-1 but because it is 1 series that contains all 3 first response units, it is very reminiscent of the NBC series Third Watch. However, the unique element of this series is that a 9-1-1 call center employee is actually the anchor of this series. This person is the link between the person in need and the first responders. This own touch means that it is not a complete rip-off of Third Watch or Chicago Fire and is therefore just good to watch for loyal viewers of those other series. The rescues are fine but most of the characters are a bit superficial characters compared to Third Watch or Chicago Fire but luckily this got better in the second season. The cast has some well-known names such as Connie Britton (Spin City) and Angela Bassett. Later seasons will also include Jennifer Love Hewitt and former MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. The series has now also received a spin-off: 9-1-1: Lone Star with Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler in the lead roles.
