Chicago P.D. plot

District 21 of the Chicago Police Department is made up of 2 different groups: the uniformed cops who patrol the streets to fight everyday crime and the intelligence unit, the team that handles serious crime in the city. The intelligence unit's leader is Sergeant Hank Voight, a man who doesn't exactly follow the law to get justice. Demanding and tough, only those who can handle it survive under Voight's leadership.

Chicago P.D. season 1

A great police series by Dick Wolf, known for the Law & Order Franchise of which only Special Victims Unit is left. Chicago PD cannot be compared to the Law & Order series at all. It has its own character, just like the fact that the city of Chicago cannot be compared to New York. Chicago PD is a bit of a mix between The Shield and New York Undercover. It follows Hank Voight's intelligence unit, a good cop with a dark edge or a corrupt cop with a good heart. It depends on how you look at it. Voight's team consists of good detectives, each with their own method and motives and that sometimes clashes, but in the end they always get the job done. The beauty of this series is that it has many crossovers with other series from the Dick Wolf universe. Not only with the other Chicago series (Fire, Med and the now canceled Justice) but also with Law & Order SVU. So you suddenly see Mariska Hargitay or Ice T assisting Hank Voight and his team. Chicago PD is the best cop show right now in my opinion because it combines action, suspense and human drama.
