Lovely setting. Fantastic game and a great atmosphere. This is the first season that introduces me to AHS. Not disappointed. I like this. Enough surprises and developments in a nice environment that remains interesting from start to finish. Season 1 didn't do it for me. Freakshow is more my cup of tea.

Solid fourth volume of American Horror Story, with a number of returning actors/actresses in the cast (Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Denis O'Hare, Frances Conroy ao) and also some new names . There is also a link to the excellent season 2 with the character Pepper, which also immediately resulted in the best episode (10) for me; very touching episode! Finn Wittrock's character also had a fascinating unfolding and denouement. And I found the adoration for Ma Petite very touching.
Furthermore, the script was unfortunately a mess, as far as I'm concerned, and a lot of situations/events/characters came across as pretty badass to me. The success of this was, incidentally, variable; a character like Edward Mordrake or Twisty the Clown (a strong John Carroll Lynch) completely convinced me, that of Neil Patrick Harris didn't convince me at all.
I'll just keep watching, because the first two seasons (and especially the second) managed to live up to the potential of the whole concept.

I thought this was the best season. Nice that you see how it used to be in certain circles. Nice characters, nice plots, good acting performances from almost everyone, in short recommended for the horror fan
