"Walt Disney tells the real story of the fighting families who won the West !"
James Stephen leads a caravan of wagons across the plains of the west. Among the settlers is Doc Grayson who takes care of the settlers' medical care. The group is besieged along the way by Pawnee Indians who are after the horses. A later confrontation, with initially friendly Sioux, creates tension when the chief's son appears dying, and Doc Grayson is the only one who may be able to avert doom.
