Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog plot
"The true story of a dog"
Scotland in the 19th century. Bobby is a small dog who lives on a farm with his owner Old Jock, a shepherd. Once a week they take a trip to the big city of Edinburgh where they eat and soak up the atmosphere. During one of those trips, in the winter of 1859, Old Jock falls ill. He dies and is buried in Greyfriars cemetery. An acquaintance of Jock takes Bobby back to the farm. However, the dog cannot live without his master and returns to the grave in the city. He decides to continue living near the grave.
