"For every man who struck gold - a hundred tried to take it away from him"
Cripple Creek, Colorado, 1893. Gold is smuggled out of the state of Colorado. Instead of smuggling gold bars, the outlaws led by Denver Jones and Silver Kirby have high-quality gold melted down to resemble lead. The governor of Colorado sends his secret agents Bret Ivers, Larry Galland and Strap Galland, who pretend to be Texas gunfighters, to the gold-mining town of Cripple Creek. Bret finds out where the gold is being melted down and Larry finds out how the financing is done. However, corrupt Marshal John Tetheroe becomes suspicious and has Bret and Larry's pasts traced.
