"The most amazing saga in the fighting annals of the US Navy!"
The men aboard the American destroyer 'Haynes' are bored and dream of a little action. Murell, their captain, doesn't give them a warm heart. He locks himself in his cabin all day and seems a weakling. Little do they know that Murrell is an experienced and brave officer. During his last naval battle, however, he was wounded and his English bride was killed in an air raid. Since then he has kept in the background. He gets the chance to show his abilities when a strange dot appears on the radar screen.
