Strong start with a nice premise.

But halfway through it all gets a bit silly and laughable with the time travel stuff and those weird langoliers.

But because you still want to know how it ends, just copied.

Nice to see "Balki" in a different kind of role.

Chunk of youth sentiment that today is heavily through the basket. Ever seen on TV in '97 or '98, at the time it made an impression partly due to the interest in King's books.

Unfortunately, the general level of the almost three hours barely exceeds that of a TV movie or soapie. It all leans too much towards melodrama. Good points are undeniably the mysterious atmosphere and long maintained ambiguity, the excellent casting of Pinchot, aka Balki, Kimber Riddle is as stupid and overhysterical as it is pleasant to watch and the blind girl, Kate Maberly has also dried up quite nicely. The composition of the diverse group of people with their mannerisms is typically King. On the other hand, the CGI sucks and some things are just stupid. Albert does nothing at all when the Don is stabbed to death, removing the knife as with Dinah, another terribly dramatically pumped-up thing, is not always necessary. In fact, it is advised to leave things alone if it does not cause a serious bleeding and after all one is wasting so much time with babbling... oh my!

No The Langoliers was once quite nice to watch and is still nice for the memory, but that will be the love for the book and sentiment, in reality it is no longer of this time. Slow, long, laughable over dramatic, CGI that will make your eyes water and...well those clothes belong to that time.

At the time the film was experienced as a very exciting mini series, now to review it I think what a

overacting everyone, everyone shouts something running around and makes a point of something unimportant.

Was this really the acting of the 90s?

Enjoyed this King story for a few hours.
