It's OK.

This is not a bad film, but not a very good one either. Just watched it because it came with Film1's offer and those are usually quick snacks. So I immediately grabbed this one as well. Wanted to see it at the time, when the trailer wasn't there yet, but the trailer kept him waiting.

There are clearly a number of professionals behind the helm, although I think it's amazing how this ultimately cost 5 million. With a few CGI bits there isn't too much to do in the end, but the first part in particular is still quite well executed so it doesn't get boring.

The first part of the film is clearly sharp and that is why it remains interesting. It all looks pretty solid. But eventually you've seen it and the tension starts to fade. Once locked in the toilet it doesn't take long before you get tired of it.

Ultimately, that sharpness just doesn't work anymore. The film manages to be less interesting and only in the last 10 minutes does the film manage to pick itself up again, but that is actually much too late. Otherwise a great idea, but clearly with too little material.

It's something, but in the end it doesn't matter anymore. This is mainly due to the fact that a one-man show was ultimately developed. I had a similar feeling with All Is Lost, but this film is a bit sharper and is therefore my preference.

Great work to make such an exciting film with one actor, 3 lines of text and a boat.
