The Kiss plot
Actors May Irwin and John C. Rice re-enact the controversial closing scene of John J. McNally's musical 'The Widow Jones'. The two ardent lovers hug and talk passionately, after which the man in love quickly brushes his well-groomed mustache. Then he gives her an innocent kiss. This is considered the first kiss ever on film, and was considered pornographic by many at the time.
