Rifkin's Festival plot
Former film teacher Mort Rifkin accompanies his much younger wife Sue to the San Sebastian Film Festival where she takes care of the publicity for director Philippe's new film, whose latest film will premiere there. Mort suspects that there is more going on between Sue and Philippe and begins to experience nightmares and his heart. For the latter he seeks help from general practitioner Jo Rojas, who lived around the corner from Mort in New York for a while and appears to like the same films. While Sue is busy at work during the day, Mort tries to trick his doctor into an appointment outside her practice.
