Less scary than the first two Conjuring films and doesn't bring anything innovative. Some characters may need chiropractic after making this film. The single jump scares are easy to foresee. The film focuses more on the story than on the horror. But beautifully filmed and with the sympathetic couple Ed and Lorraine Warren. Nice to see their romantic feelings for each other sealed at the end. We also get to see some photos of the real people in this story. Of course the movie stars are prettier than the ones they're supposed to represent, especially Ed.
Unbelievable that Arne Johnson only spent five years in prison for the murder that is central to this film. The excuse "the devil made me do it" seems to really work.

Like most, I also found this to be a weak third. Seemed more like a detective story and it lacks the scary atmosphere of the previous films. The scares can be counted on one hand. In the previous films, two hands weren't enough. It feels superfluous and for me they can stop the Conjuring "universe" because the inspiration is clearly running out. The devil made me dislike it.
