Much better than part 2, less than part 1. The humor is slightly less present, I didn't find the killer that interesting or that exciting. Not at all actually, I kind of saw it coming. How he worked was downright laughable and very unbelievable. The girls are also nice and retarded again and run around the house like headless chickens as usual. It's actually, quite logically, very much of the same. Bare tits especially. And very bad acting. That, together with the many silly activities, is actually a case of 'a bit of a shame'. But still, it remains entertaining and an improvement on the sleep-inducing second part.

Mediocre film in which a few girls organize a sleepover when one of their parents is not at home. A lot of progress compared to the previous part. Especially because it is a lot more entertaining (nice and bad) and a less ridiculous killer, so the tension is back here and there.

This isn't all that bad for a second sequel. It does not reach the level of the classic original and the rockabilly predecessor, but it is certainly there. I think the plot is a bit flawed. It's incomprehensible that the girls just insist on watching when Maria is murdered. The geek in the neighboring house - with the telescope - could also have played a role, but he does not participate.
All in all, there is not much in terms of tension building and it is all rather straight forward. It's nice that the serial killer is the good looking Ken and not some weirdo. A lot of attention is paid to his background as an abused child - which also creates a dark undertone. Victim becomes perpetrator. Here too, the symbolism of the jackhammer as a substitute phallus is not far to seek. Of course, you shouldn't be here for subtlety.
