To defeat Sharktopus, Ray Brady, a former basketball player, is injected with a serum that converts his genes into part human, part piranha and part tarantula. When his first attempt to defeat Sharktopus fails, he injects himself with a growth hormone that causes him to grow ten times stronger before finally confronting himself in a baseball stadium.
