"What if Peter Pan grew up?"
Peter Pan grew up to be a lawyer, and is married to Wendy's granddaughter. Captain Hook kidnaps his children, forcing Peter to return to Never Land with Tinkerbell. He must now try to remember what it was like to be Peter Pan to save his children from Hook.

Nice film in which the children of Peter Pan are kidnapped by Captain Hook. An imaginative film for the youth. Beautiful costumes and grand sets (the film certainly looks good). Well on the long side. Robin Williams is well placed here as the man who has lost the child in himself, but Dustin Hoffman has the most entertaining part. Easily 3.0 stars.

Great movie, ridiculously low score!
Ever seen as a child, completely, half or a little. No idea. I couldn't remember much about it except that it was about a Peter Pan story.
Tried to revise it a long time ago, but only saw part of it. Again no idea why. And now completely seen. I've enjoyed it. Nice that they have given it a completely different twist than the standard story we are used to. Then it would probably have been very trite. Funny to see Glenn Close suddenly among the rest of the pirates in a tiny role.
Super beautiful sets, good actors, a smile, a tear and lots of fantasy. Everything you need for such a film.

Not good.
Steven Spielberg and I seem to be working less and less. Hook is one of his worst I've seen. Children's film, or family film, that might be a better word. But way too long for a family movie. Direction 2.5 hours? How do you get it explained?
It takes almost three quarters of an hour before we have struggled through the introduction and the adventure can really begin. The sets of Neverland are lavishly decorated and the costume department has been able to enjoy itself just as much. Real sets are often more charming than today's green screen studios.
But that's about it. Unfortunately I can't get any more positive notes from this. I wasn't amused by the easy adventure, nor by seeing certain famous headlines. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are neither fun, but other bits can hardly entertain either. Unfortunately.
