Timboektoe plot
Isa and her older brother Kars have to move because their parents change course and start a campsite in France. Fortunately, Isa meets Jules, a half-Dutch boy with an alcoholic father. Just when her parents' camping site seems to be on the mend, another camping site opens and declares war on them. The unsympathetic owner blames Jules' father for the evil he does and he is arrested. The police then threaten to close the campsite of Isa's parents, Timbuktu, but Isa, Jules and Kars decide to put a stop to this.

A youth film.
The story is unmistakably Carry Slee, smooth and exciting, but this film adaptation is a bit thin and sloppy. The enthusiasm of the cast - I wouldn't call it actors - makes up for it, but not enough to want to look beyond the bumbling and rattling plot. Bo Maerten is not doing so bad, but actually Katja Herben is the only one worthy of the title of actress. Too bad she's only in the picture for half a minute.
Nice for a Wednesday afternoon on TV, that's all you should expect.

story dull, everything ran through each other. It might be fun for kids, but it didn't really appeal to me.
Some nice scenes but it was all very shaky.
Acting by a few actors was sufficient but the rest was mediocre .

Oh dear.
Of all the mediocre Slee movies, this is definitely the weakest of them all. This is partly due to the fact that Maerten is so irritating, but is also not helped by her colleagues here. Voogd also plays a weak role.
Weak story, in no way but a bit believable and nowhere it hits you both emotionally and hard. You can easily call this drama a failure, but luckily there is a moment here and there where the sun shines for a while.
The best was perhaps the location, but then again. For the rest this is weak and you can skip it. You are absolutely not missing anything here.
