Regina Giddens lives in a small town in the deep south of America around 1900. For her, nothing is more important than money and power. In order to carry out a plan with her equally ruthless brothers that will give her even more money and power, she uses her naive daughter Alexandra. Her role is to pick up Regina's sick and estranged husband from Baltimore. When she can't convince her husband to give her money for their plan, Regina's brothers decide to get the money in another way.
