The Dark Horse plot
"The Dark Horse is a movie for everyone who ever had a dream and lost it, only to rediscover it in a surprising place."
Dana, about thirty years old, is a ballet teacher in Seattle. When she hears that her father is getting worse and worse, she reluctantly returns to her parental home on an island just off Canada. Upon arrival, she discovers that the house is about to be expropriated. Dana sees only one way to save the farm and the family: it will have to tame her mother's unpredictable horse so she can take a shot at the top prize in the biggest dressage competition of the year. At the same time, she must put an end to the feud between her brothers, and give a broken hearted soul back to life...
