Swimming plot

Two friends in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina see their friendship change when new residents move into the coastal town. Frankie works with her brother Neil at the family restaurant/snack bar. Frankie's friend Nicola owns a body piercing shop next to the snack bar. Neil hires Josee, the lifeguard's girlfriend, as a waitress. Frankie and Josee get along well, which makes Nicola jealous. Then Frankie meets a strange boy who sells t-shirts from his van, and they start dating. This gives her more confidence in herself and she learns to stand on her own two feet, instead of always hiding behind others.
