The successful Kresten has just married his boss' daughter. Immediately after the wedding, his father dies and he is forced to travel to the countryside. Just a beautiful movie. Cruyff would say: “Every disadvantage has its advantage”. This also applies to the Dogme rules. The restrictions that those rules impose on the filmmakers ensure that it all comes across as very natural, as is the intention of those rules.
You have to have the right actors for it and that is certainly the case in this film. That plus the fun, fairly light-hearted story ensured that I had a great time.
