Pretty standard. Predictable story, little depth; nevertheless, it is still fascinating.

Solid war film about the most famous assassination attempt on Hitler.

The comparison with Valkyrie (with Tom Cruise) is obvious, and it must be said that the latter pays just that little bit more attention to the details. For example, I thought the assassination attempt itself was over very quickly in this film (the tension could have been a little longer) and Operation Valkyrie is not explained either (which was the case in Valkyrie ).

On the other hand, Koch is a better von Stauffenberg than Cruise. Not that Cruise acts badly in Valkyrie, but you always have that language difference and a German speaks German and not English. In addition, Koch is acting with a lot of swagger and is completely absorbed in his role.
