Sostiene Pereira plot
Portugal, 1938. Pereira is the editor of a cultural newspaper in Lisbon. Civil war is raging in Spain and Portugal is ruled by fascists. Pereira, however, does not interfere and calmly writes his biographical articles. Until he gets a passionate assistant who gets in trouble with his girlfriend because of their underground activities.
