Sissi - Die Junge Kaiserin plot
This sequel to Sissi is about her first years of marriage with Franz Joseph of Austria. The young Empress finds it difficult to conform entirely to the strict court etiquette, especially personified by Archduchess Sophie, her mother-in-law. After the birth of Sissi's daughter, the conflicts that have already arisen intensify: Sophie wants to raise the child.

Just the same level as part one I think. It is indeed very unfortunate that Romy Schneider died so early. Beautiful woman who can act well. The romance remains sweet, but the landscapes are again very beautiful. The film reaches a reasonable level, but it never gets really good.

Think those Sissi movies are sentimental, shit movies from the 40's to 60's era. I can appreciate Romy herself, especially because she has been through quite a bit of drama (her son who fell on a razor-sharp fence and dies and also some divorces etc). And she wasn't a bad actress either. I haven't seen the Sissi movies for a long time. But I do know them and they come especially around Christmas. We used to be just forced to watch it with grandma 
. That also gives these films a nice memory. 2.0.

Sweet sweet romantic story with of course also the necessary dramatic perils that come with it as standard. In terms of story and execution, it is of course no longer up-to-date, but back in the 70s I always watched the Sissi movies (including this second part) on German television (usually around Christmas). The sets and landscapes are beautiful and the same goes for the late Romy Schneider who also played well. The same applies to her Prince Karlheinz Böhm to a slightly lesser extent.
