A great movie, I was very impressed!

Especially very strong acting, with excellent roles for Brad Dourif, Christopher Lloyd, Danny DeVito and of course a great Jack Nicholson. Wonderful role. The story was complete and beautifully worked out, I was never bored for a moment and I was captivated and watched all the time.

5 stars.

The whole movie is great because every scene is both tragic and comedic, perfectly balanced. The ending makes it all the more interesting; the ultimate tragedy. A few small anecdotes don't make it a perfect film. But what is perfection? A must see.

Top entertainment, with a rare amount of memorable scenes. Especially that, in addition to the

formidable acting by Nicholson as well as Louise Fletcher, makes this film a special one

attractive viewing experience. The rest of the acting is also excellent. It is eg not

defines a homogeneous group of madmen, each with their own individual traits. With much hilarity and

humor but also emotion, and en passant the film presents the questionable treatment of the

patients, with which the film ultimately deals a wry and harrowing blow.

In a tight straitjacket, the film can also easily be translated into dictatorial, oppressive

societies, resulting in total anarchy (Revolt), here led by the character of

Nicholson. The trip by boat is therefore visibly experienced by the patients as a 'spiritual' liberation.

I've seen the movie about four times, and I think the movie also requires at least one

review to appreciate them. At least I was there the first time

quite taken aback and barely knew what to do with what had happened to me. Today I don't know

other than that to me this is a masterpiece.
