Wilbur Gale thinks he has beaten someone to death and flees to Canada. His sister Marcia Gale goes with Dick Robbins, in whom she sees a friend, in search of her brother. However, Dick Robbins is trying to play a dirty game. Journalist Noel Blake then stands by her side with Wilbur Gale's dog North Star.
