Noi Credevamo plot
Three boys from southern Italy join Guiseppe Mazzini's Giovane Italia (political movement seeking the unity of Italy) following the brutal suppression of the Bourbons after the riots of 1828. During four incidents that coincide with as many dark pages of de Risorgimento (general term used for the pursuit of an Italian political unity), the lives of Domenico, Angelo and Salvatore are tragically marked by their revolutionary and conspiratorial mission. They are torn between virtue and murderousness, willingness to sacrifice and fear, incarceration and illegality, fleeting ideals and political disappointments.
