At the end of the 15th century, the minstrels Gilles and Dominique invaded the castle of Baron Hugues. Gilles seduces Anne, Hugue's daughter, and Dominique charms Anne's betrothed and Hugues. Gilles and Dominique are not really in love, but sent by the Devil to hopeless people.
