Nina is a young married woman with a son, Pricó. It is difficult for her to meet the demands of her family and her role as a mother. When she falls in love with Roberto, she decides to leave a husband and child behind. Pricó is dragged from relative to relative and suffers greatly from the situation. When the child also becomes ill, Nina decides to return to her child. But the family bond seems irreparable.
