Fort Bliss plot
"Soldier. Mother. So many expectations."
A decorated medic and single mother (Michelle Monaghan) returns home after a long mission in Afghanistan. The bond with her 5-year-old son appears to have deteriorated and the boy has drawn more to his father (Ron Livingston) and his girlfriend (Emmanuelle Chriqui) during her absence. As she tries to reconnect with her son, she also has to deal with lingering memories of Afghanistan. When she meets a mechanic, he suggests opening up to her experiences. As the bond with her son grows, she receives news of a new mission. She will have to find a way to combine her duties as a mother and her obligations as a soldier.
