Eight Men Out tells the true story of the 'Black Sox' scandal of 1918, in which the players of the Chicago White Sox baseball team deliberately lose the World Series. This action is based on a labor dispute between the players and the team boss. When the cheat is revealed, the 8 players are banned for life. The result is a human drama for players like 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson and Buck Weaver.
