Teddy Kollek plot
Kollek chronicles the life of one of Israel's founders, Teddy Kollek, from his days as a Zionist leader to his rescue of 3,000 Jews and his 29 years as mayor of Jerusalem. Kollek spent his childhood in the Austrian capital of Vienna and emigrated to Palestine at the age of 24. In 1938 he persuaded Adolf Eichmann to release 3,000 Jews who had been imprisoned in concentration camps and leave for England. In 1967, after the Six-Day War, Prime Minister Ben Gurion persuaded him to participate in the elections for the mayoralty of Jerusalem, which had become one city as a result of the war.
