Sari's Mother plot

'Sari's Mother' tells the story of a mother in Iraq who seeks care for her ten-year-old son Sari. He has contracted AIDS from a blood transfusion and is plagued by pain and fatigue. The maze of Iraqi health care is unfathomable and the mother is sent from pillar to post. The war and terror make it difficult to know who to trust and who not. But Sari's mother is convinced that her son deserves the right care and perseveres. A search for a cure for Sari against the background of war and occupation.
