Robert Blecker Wants Me Dead plot

Robert Blecker is one of America's most ardent proponents of the death penalty. He teaches at New York Law School in Manhattan. From that position he conducts his crusade against the rising wave of protests against the death penalty. Daryl Holton is one of those people waiting for the death penalty. Robert meets him during an investigation in 2005. They keep in touch by mail, telephone and a sporadic visit from Robert to the prison. While Daryl gets one reprieve, then another deathwatch for fear of committing suicide, they talk together about the meaning of mercy, justice and the morality of the death penalty.
