In Search of Tomorrow plot

In Search of Tomorrow is a nostalgic journey through the greatest science fiction classics from the 80s. It looks at their relevance and impact today. This is how Paul Verhoeven, John Carpenter and many others speak to tell about how their vision became reality, and thus managed to reach a completely new generation.

Another catchy but at the same time exhaustingly long documentary by director David Weiner, known for the In Search Of Darkness series. For five hours, fragments of SF films from the 80s pass by, explained by a procession of involved people, experts and fans. Too bad that so much attention is paid to the blockbusters of the decade; we know those stories by now, no matter how entertaining the fragments and interviews are. It is precisely the smaller films, such as Miracle Mile and Flight Of The Navigator, that stand out positively within the bigger picture.
