Fighting the Silence plot
For fear of exclusion, raped women in Congo remain silent about what happened to them. Activists try to make the taboo open to discussion. This is not easy for both the authorities and the victims. Without batting an eyelid, soldiers and police officers in Fighting the Silence openly give their (often shocking) explanation for the fact that so many women in Congo are still raped every day. In the documentary, raped women tell what happened to them during the war in Congo. By speaking out and by attending information meetings, they fight for the improvement of the situation.
