Buitenbeentjes plot

Lotta is different from other children. That's why she spends her days in the Land of Gray and Grey. She is lonely and bored, until she discovers a very colorful world behind the gray walls, inhabited by children who are all a little different from the rest for their own reasons: the Misfit Castle.
