Agora: Apo ti Dimokratia stis Agores plot

From 2010 to 2014, the Greek population endured the brutal austerity imposed on them by the troika. Homeless people, soup kitchens, unemployment, poverty, violent conflict and the rise of the far right. The dream of prosperity has turned into a nightmare and politics is crumbling. Yorgos Avgeropoulos turns his camera to his homeland. He records the development of the crisis from the very beginning and traces its impact on people's lives. Among other things, he witnessed popular protests in the streets, the development of solidarity movements and the rise of fascism.
