Took me a while to watch this movie. It also took me a while to get into the movie. This is because the film is full of dialogues, reproaches and ridiculing each other. After about an hour I was in the movie and it actually started to get entertaining. Thought myself that this film was from 2005 somewhere but already 10 years older. Also nice that Coober Pedy is being removed, is still on my list of places to visit in this world.

Pretty nice.

Probably that it was a bit sharper and more special in the 90s, in the meantime a film about three drag queens is not so special anymore. Fortunately with actors who play drag queens and no "known" drag queens from the world, that usually does not benefit the acting.

The film brings a nice mix between road movie and light comedy. A little bit of drama there too, but that doesn't want to make much of an impression. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be Elliott's main goal either, so the film keeps running smoothly and doesn't become too depressed.

A lot of kitschy drag queen stuff, but the three central gentlemen do it pretty well. Each with their own character, each sympathetic in their own way, but also very annoying. Fortunately, the film does not last too long, the Australian landscape offers something extra and the characters they encounter along the way are also comical enough.

I don't think it's a great movie, but it's an entertaining one.

Colorful comedy that is always good with all its absurdity, colorful clothing and especially hard, witty, sometimes bitchy remarks.

An extremely simple story is told about two travos and a converted guy who go on tour in the outback. Something that mainly leads to a clash between conservatism and extravagant excesses. Sometimes accepted with difficulty, other times not. It is striking how easily she is absorbed by the Aboriginals, and of course also outcasts herself and not strange. Once on the road I also repeatedly wonder how these three are going to reach their destination, the chance that they will get tired of each other and hit each other seems greater.

With Weaving and Pearce we surprisingly find two actors in those weird dresses and make-up who were still small people at the time but are now A-listers. Their roles, including Stamp of course, they play well and Pearce is great as an over the top bitch always making mean comments or looking for trouble. The performances are hilarious, especially the last one in the hotel, but also the meeting with Bob and his strange wife.

TAoPQoD is therefore a very entertaining film that mainly tells its story about discrimination, prejudice and especially acceptance. Just accept someone else and it's his party if he wants to walk in absurd dress? Priscilla is more than a fine and entertaining film with a number of actors like you've never seen them before and especially good acting performances. The normal prices for decorations and costumes are not strange either. The movie is just fun.
