"Are you in or out?"
Criminal Danny Ocean is finally released after four years in prison. He immediately decides to put his newfound freedom to good use by robbing three casinos in Las Vegas. To accomplish this nearly impossible job, he gathers a large crew of professionals around him. It soon becomes apparent that there is more at stake for Danny than just money: his ex-wife Tess is the new girlfriend of Terry Benedict, the owner of the casinos he wants to rob.

Just an entertaining movie. Nicely conceived, smoothly edited, a nice soundtrack, nice to hear all those familiar faces and the atmosphere will have been nice on the set. We look through a plothole here and there. The romance is a cringe-inducing cliché and, as far as I'm concerned, makes for a big deduction; the movie would have been fine without it. Nice snack.

Rewatched this on Netflix after a long time. Given that no review was written at the time, I'll do it with this one. Still a great movie with a top cast. The idea of an impossible cracking of a safe is a well-known theme, but this film elevates it to a masterpiece. A gem to watch and there will be many more films like this later on, but they will rarely come close to this original one. Dialogues are catchy and the way in which the squat is done is at least well thought out and has a surprising plot. Enjoyed this movie again.
