A mediocre film about a man who spends a day killing several people. It's a rather simple revenge story, but the execution is absurd (in a good way). The dialogue is sparse, the pace is slow, and it quickly becomes monotonous. Still, the various murders are entertaining to watch.

A typically French early 70s film where film and art intertwine in absurdism. All of Dufilho's attacks are timed to a series of small and large-scale dramas. The open-air play featuring "the king" is hilarious. Furthermore, the finale—pay close attention to the departure of the police force, where he is apprehended—is linked to his first move in his plot, a cross between theatre and opera. Trigtignant makes his mark with this film about his interpretation of crime. The Italian title speaks for itself.
