The Trotsky plot
"The revolution begins in high school"
Boarding school goer Leon Bronstein is the Canadian reincarnation of Leon Trotsky. That he, like the Russian revolutionary, grows up in a Jewish family is only a first sign. In his room full of communist paraphernalia, he keeps track of his agreements with Trotsky. Bronstein also wants to fight in solidarity against oppression. His organized rebellion in the clothing factory of the 'landowner', or his father, leads to exile to a public school. There, a disappointed Leon finds no activist students, but tame sheep who are resigned to the bizarre rules of the school board.
