Vladimir Dubrouvsky is a lieutenant in the Russian army. He learns that his father's land has been taken over by the evil Kyrilla Troekouroff. When his father dies, he vows revenge. He puts on a black mask and is henceforth known as the Black Eagle. However, he falls in love with Kyrilla's daughter.
