I had a great time with this movie! The funniest part are the funny comments in between. I was also totally into the movie and could laugh about it!

Nice stoner movie.

This story of growing up and taking on responsibilities reminded me a bit of Clerks, one of my favorite movies. A job that is not taken seriously, nonsensical conversations and drug use, these types of films suit me.
A surreal element is added in Ted, because Ted is a living teddy bear. And despite his cute appearance, he swears and screams everything together, which sometimes leads to bizarre scenes (I had to laugh so hard at his decorating trick with soap dispensers in the supermarket). The chemistry between Wahlberg and Ted feels realistic, and as far as I'm concerned, this could have made for a fun 90-minute film.

But unfortunately the film is stretched considerably with uninteresting scenes and the abduction ultimately also feels like a forced move to add some drama to the film. The swing from Kunis to Ted feels just as perfunctory, making the movie end less fresh than it started. (Okay, I thought Ted's joke in which he faked a speech impediment was genius.. "will you take care of me for the rest of your life?")

You should not expect politically correct Woke humor from the maker of Family Guy, so sensitive people better ignore this film. An entertaining film, but in my opinion it played a little too much or it was safe.

3*

In itself a nice and fresh idea, the coarse-mouthed teddy bear that always throws everything upside down. The film, on the other hand, does occasionally leave something behind - there are some storylines that are too ordinary and too boring like the relationship troubles and the kidnapping. And maybe it works a little less if you see the whole for the second time. It doesn't have much to do with bears or even teddy bears, perhaps that puts some people on the wrong track.

Wahlberg and Kunis are all really good - and Ted himself, of course. But that the sparks are flying with those two, meh, in terms of romance, it really doesn't score at all for me.

As a reason for this new viewing, by the way, the announcement that Ted 2 will soon disappear from Netflix (and maybe this part too, I didn't really bother to check that). But two parts right after each other is really too much for me, first something else.
