Nice 80s comedy about a school for smart guys. Despite this, the film does not really distinguish itself from the usual high school comedies. Nevertheless, it is certainly fun to watch, but the ending is a bit on the long side.

For the observant viewer: Dean Devlin still has a decent role as one of the students, and would later become known as a producer of films such as Independence Day and Godzilla.

Hopelessly outdated, with three lame ones for every successful joke. Val Kilmer is very disappointing in this comedy about a group of geeks who, without their knowledge, have to develop a laser weapon for the army. For die hard fans of the 80s; Furthermore, this is a film that will become more forgotten over the years.

Kilmer does a nice job here as a brilliant technical student who is unknowingly developing a laser weapon for his creepy headmaster. Furthermore, Kilmer is not really serious about science but finds partying on campus much more interesting.

He takes a young new student under his wing and together they eventually manage to overcome the difficulties and technical obstacles and complete the weapon before the deadline, but then they discover that it will be used as a weapon by defense and they decide to to grasp .

William Etherton plays the professor and teacher who secretly works for the defense and that is a typical bad guy role that he has played before, he is one of those actors who you know by face but never remember the name. .

Furthermore, it has all been given a comedy twist as a kind of campus high school comedy, which is quite fun to see.
