David Basner is a glitzy, popular advertising executive. His successful, often daring campaigns have earned him a solid reputation and a hefty promotion. However, his ambitions extend further. He wants to become a partner of his company and reach the absolute top. His bosses don't say no, but do think he should bring in new, big customers first. He gets that chance when circumstances allow him to arrange an appointment with Andrew Woolridge, director-owner of an airline. Woolridge's daughter Cheryl-Ann is also very attractive, albeit aloof, level-headed and very matter-of-fact. Those who no longer have anything in common are David's parents. After 36 years of marriage, Mom Basner moved out and moved into her own flat. David, who paid little or no attention to his parents, is suddenly claimed by them and confronted with a responsibility completely new to him...
