Not my thing.
Well this is yet another romantic comedy with a terribly cliché story. Horribly irritating that those lesser-known directors always play it safe with their romantic comedies. I'm not going to repeat the story again because I think everyone already knows what he's about, but why always this same story. No strings attached, another umbrella story, must love dogs. There are certainly a few hundred now.
Characters were far from captivating. Cusack played a nice role but not more than that.
Just all very nice. Tried nothing new.
Absolute recommendation. We have seen this quite often.

In most rom-coms, the variety is in the private or work environment. "Must Love Dogs" pretends to have the dog hobby as a focal point, but the whopper on the movie poster is very rare.
The title refers precisely to the closing line in the personal ad of the recently divorced forty-something Sarah (Diane Lane), who is looking for a new man. Jake (John Cusack) reacts and there is chemistry and a few misunderstandings and later it's okay.
Rarely have I heard John Cusack say his lines so monotonously on the machine. Expect no surprises in this Comedy / Romance film, in which we also see Stockard Channing and Christopher Plummer in supporting roles. Diane Lane in the role of kindergarten teacher with charms, makes this film especially enjoyable.
