A somewhat lesser Don Camillo. The connection with Peppone remains beautiful, that they cannot do without each other. What comes out less here is the voice of Jesus on the cross. He is very strict, while in the books and in the other films he is a bit more humorous. It's a pity though. Furthermore, the film also takes quite a long time in my opinion, especially the hassle with the flood does not stop. 2*.

A little below the first film, but the makers had enough imagination to give the conflicts between mister pastor and mister mayor usually the necessary originality, but always the necessary charm, humanity and good humor.

This sequel is certainly not inferior to the first part even if the surprise effect is gone. For a comedy it never creates exuberant situations. Rather, it leads to a monk's laugh every now and then, which is also good. And there is also drama which is good for the balance of the film. The flood is impressively filmed without being rubbed too hard.
