Innerspace plot
"This summer take a trip you'll never forget."
Lieutenant Pendelton participates in an experiment where he is reduced to the size of a molecule. But it is stolen and his capsule accidentally ends up in the bloodstream of the sluggish Jack who must evolve into a hero to save Pendelton. Their only hope is Pendelton's girlfriend, who is a journalist. But Jack falls in love with her and it only gets harder.

Dennis Quaid is participating in a great experiment! He is in a capsule and is micro-sized via a super cool device, ready to inspect the inside of a rabbit. However, there are more hijackers on the coast for this advanced technology and fatefully as it goes, panic injects his mini-capsule into Martin Short, a somewhat clumsy dud. From then on it's a big battle between the bad guys and Martin Short (incl. Quaid) and also Meg Ryan, who actually skips around the whole adventure.
The film is full of craziness, but it was very entertaining and also very funny. It is occasionally a bit wrong and even camp, but that should be possible with such an SF film that does not want to take itself too seriously. An extra plus are the bad guys who are all very cool characters with The Cowboy as the highlight 
. Another plus is that the whole plot is reminiscent of a flawed 50s SF movie, but yes it comes from the 80s and you can tell by the looks of Innerspace, which still look pretty good.

Some lame 80s comedy, with an emphasis on the 80s. Tough dude is injected into a clumsy loser during a failed scaling experiment, and of course there are all kinds of bad guys chasing him. Unfortunately, we don't see much happening in the body, and it's mainly about the scenes in real life - with a lot of not so nice characters, a thirteen in a dozen story with chases and some not so interesting romantic developments. The film and the silly-nerd-schtick of Martin Short are not really fun, but it can be looked away with no mind at all.

Comical and exciting film, with a nod to the classic "Fantastic Voyage (1966)", but in a much more light-hearted way.
In this story, Lieutenant Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid) is miniaturized in an experiment to put him in the bloodstream of a cumin. However, he ends up in the body of the wimpy Jack Putter (Martin Short), who, to make matters worse, has a band of villains after him.
The smooth Science Fiction / Comedy movie (by Steven Spielberg protégé Joe Dante) movie is long and chaotic and has a bit too many plot lines, but those imperfections are made up for by the enthusiastic actors and the stereotype villains have the desired effect on the laughter muscles. The visual effects were awarded an "Oscar".
