Slightly less revision.

Takes a little too long here and there. Especially the scenes with the marines, that's an interlude that comes at a bad time and actually stops the film needlessly. The tension element is also a little out of place here. If there should be any tension, it is more of the adventurous.

That adventure is still worth it. Atmospheric and oppressive underwater. Cameron knows how to portray it beautifully, so it was no surprise when it later turned out that his fascination for the underwater world was greater than a single film.

Acting/characters are mediocre, this film has to rely mainly on the atmosphere. It fits well for the majority of the film, although I have to say that this time the ending was just a bit too cheesy. Well-intentioned, of course, but it's really too thick.

Still a nice film, but 170 minutes is a bit too much and in the meantime the age is starting to play tricks on the film here and there. Still entertaining for sure, but I don't think it's the little masterpiece of the past.

3.5*

love it like that movies recently bought a movie projector now i can watch movies almost like in the cinema

slightly less quality than that of the cinema screen but still a pleasure to watch especially if you have a large screen or image and that is not the case with this one here with this film no 16.9 image but 4.3 therefore there is only half of the image. would have come into its own if one had 16.9 image. that is my downside to this dvd picture is good also the sound is fine. I wonder what it will be on blu ray will it be 16.9 or also the same image as on the DVD? then it would be a shame to buy it because okay the image is even sharper than the dvd alee sometimes right? but then it doesn't matter and it's also not worth spending money for the same movie again I have the same screen as on my DVD because that is throwing money into the water.
